Webmakerbd is looking for an SEO/SEM Intern to join the growing team. As an SEO/SEM intern, you will be responsible for assisting the team in implementing search engine optimization and search engine marketing strategies to improve the online visibility and search rankings of the company’s website. This may include tasks such as researching keywords, analyzing competitors, optimizing website content, and monitoring analytics to track progress. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of SEO and SEM best practices, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Responsibilities:
Assisting in the development and implementation of SEO and SEM strategies to improve the online visibility and search rankings of the company's website.
Conducting keyword research and analysis to identify relevant keywords and phrases for the website.
Optimizing website content, meta tags, and images for search engines.
Monitoring analytics to track progress and make data-driven decisions.
Building and managing backlinks to the website to improve search rankings.
Collaborating with other departments and teams to ensure that SEO and SEM strategies are aligned with overall business goals.
Staying up-to-date with the latest SEO and SEM best practices, algorithms, and trends.
Researching and analyzing competitors to identify opportunities and threats.
Creating and optimizing Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other PPC advertising campaigns.
Measuring and reporting on the performance of digital marketing campaigns.
Communicating with clients and stakeholders about SEO and SEM strategies and results.
Implementing technical SEO best practices such as structured data, metadata, XML sitemaps, and more.
Optimizing website for Local SEO and Google My Business.
Collaborating with the development team to ensure that the website is technically sound and optimized for search engines.
Keeping informed of industry trends and algorithm updates.
Requirements:
Strong understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) best practices.
Experience with keyword research and analysis.
Ability to optimize website content and meta tags for search engines.
Familiarity with Google Analytics and other analytics tools.
Experience with link building and off-page SEO.
Knowledge of Google's algorithm and how it affects SEO.
Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments.
Experience with Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other pay-per-click (PPC) advertising platforms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven experience in achieving and exceeding performance targets.
Strong multitasking and time-management skills.
Strong team player and ability to work independently.
A degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is a plus.
Experience with website optimization tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, etc.
Ability to measure and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns.
Familiarity with local SEO and Google My Business optimization is a plus.
Experience with technical SEO is a plus.
